What if my retainer doesn't fit?
Our in-house lab specializes in making a guaranteed fit clear retainer. However, if for some reason your teeth retainer does NOT fit properly, don’t worry. It is normal for a new clear retainer to feel tight when you first receive it. This is because your teeth slightly move between the time you stopped wearing your clear retainer and the time you receive your new teeth retainer. Allow a couple of days for your teeth to readjust to the shape of the clear retainer.​ If your clear retainer still does not fit after allowing a few days for your teeth to adjust, simply email us at support@retainyoursmile.com and we will work with you to remedy the problem. If your clear retainer still doesn't fit up to 60 days we will send you a new one or give you your money back. You will be in charge of shipping your clear retainer back to us if you request your money back. We do not cover this shipping cost.
What if I still have brackets, buttons, cosmetic gems, or leftover cement on my teeth but need a retainer?
No problem. Retain Your Smile can digitally remove any bracket, button, etc. that you may have had when your scan was done.
What if my retainer cracks or breaks?
If your clear retainer cracks or breaks due to normal usage within the first 60 days, we will replace it for free using your existing file. Contact us at support@retainyoursmile.com and we'll have you return the cracked retainer and we'll send your replacement. ​Note: We will not replace products that have been chewed up by pets or lost.
How long will my clear retainer last?
Our clear retainers will typically last 1 to 2 years. At Retain Your Smile, we make all of our transparent retainers with the most durable and stain-resistant product.​Note: Retainers lifespan can vary depending on how hard you bite, if you grind your teeth, and if you regularly clean and care for your retainer.
Why can't I order for multiple people on one order?
All of our clear retainers are custom to customer's teeth. To ensure each order is accurately fulfilled, multiple customer orders cannot be combined within the same purchase. Individual orders allow us to assign unique order numbers to match customer's with their file(s).
WHAT IS RETAIN YOUR SMILE'S RETURN POLICY?
Clear retainers should typically last about 1 to 2 years. In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your retainer within the first 60 days, we will provide a full refund (minus any applicable shipping or taxes) or replacement. Original product must be returned in order to receive a refund or replacement. If you have any additional questions regarding our refund or return policies, please do not hesitate to contact us.
How long does it take to get my products after I place my order?
Printing and fabrication of your retainers begins as soon as Retain Your Smile receives your order, with correctly uploaded .STL file. ​Your final product will arrive in about 5 to 7 business days, depending on your location, from the time you place your order to the time that you receive them.
HOW DO I REQUEST MY .STL FILES FROM MY ORTHODONTIST OR DENTIST?
Call your orthodontist or dentist that helped you straighten your teeth and ask them for your .STL file from your last scan after braces when your teeth were perfect. If your teeth have moved since that scan and you have not had a new one since we ask that you go and get a new scan or your teeth moved before sending your scan to us. We do not move teeth or fill gaps.
